Athletes and rappers are always talking about their hustle.  I watched Pitbull on The Today Show, and he attributed a majority of his success to his “hustlin’ skills;” however, Hip hop artists and athletes aren’t the only ones that are “hustlin’.”  Entrepreneurs are using this term to describe their work ethic as well.  They are always using their hustle to create revenue generating activities for themselves.

I’ve adopted this term, “hustle,” into my vocabulary. It keeps me motivated. Just like an athlete, I want to be the first one to get to the finish line or make the touchdown.  

Some days, sitting down to watch mindless TV shows and eat potato chips on the couch seems like a really great idea. That’s when the hustle should kick in.  Sure, starring at the TV and vegging out might sound awesome, but what are you accomplishing?  Nothing, really.  

If you are in this game called life for nothing, great!  I’m in it for a little more than that.  I’m in it to win it!
